So, you’ve decided to become a real estate investor. What’s the best way to get started? This article will get you started on the right foot.First, let me be the first to congratulate you for what you have already learned. I doubt that your mind is blank slate. (If it is, that’s ok too).Because you have decided to become a real estate investor your mind has already been at work. You’ve noticed articles about investing that you never noticed before. You’ve discovered books, seminars, and resources that you never knew existed. Your unconscious mind is searching for knowledge now that it knows the direction you want to go.You have probably jumped on the information highway and explored what you could on the internet. Good for you. I congratulate you! Good job.Now, to answer your question….How can you learn about investing? That’s a great question and I want you to keep asking it for a long time. You will always, from this time forward, be learning about real estate investing.No one knows it all. And, if anyone tries to tell you that they do know it all you’ll know that there’s a village that’s lost its idiot.Try these specific suggestions. Join a real estate investment club. Attend seminars (many are offered for free). Read books. Spend time with seasoned investors. Find a mentor. Offer to become the apprentice of a seasoned investor. Hire a coach. These are all great ways to learn about investing.All of these suggestions will keep you busy for a long time. At first, be sure to ask others your question, “How can I learn about real estate investing?” Also, ask this question, “Who do you know that I should know?” The latter question will open a lot of doors for you.Talk with investors, Realtors, mortgage brokers, bank loan officers, title company people, real estate attorneys, etc. Ask your question of all of them. There are hundreds of ways to learn about real estate investing. Stay curious. It will happen.
